Basketball Recap: Hermitage Takes a Loss

Hermitage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Freeman Mavericks, falling 57-11. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-17 back in January.

Hermitage's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Freeman, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.

Coming up, Hermitage will face off against Hopewell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Freeman, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings have insisted on making their last five contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-5 during that stretch of close contests.
