It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Johnsbury Academy had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Rutland Raiders as they made off with a 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Hilltoppers, who have now won six matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Johnsbury Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Rutland, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, St. Johnsbury Academy will square off against Essex on Saturday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Hilltoppers surely won't give up without a fight. Rutland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
