Baseball Recap: Oakville Comes Up Short

Oakville was the 9-7 winner over Ocosta when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Acorns fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

Oakville has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Ocosta, they moved to 5-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Oakville will take on Wishkah Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Loggers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.25 runs per game on average), something the Acorns will no doubt try to take advantage of. Ocosta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
