Basketball Recap: Elk Point-Jefferson Comes Up Short

After soaring to 55 points the game before, Elk Point-Jefferson was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They lost 50-30 to the Milbank Bulldogs. The Huskies were probably out for revenge after losing 54-51 to them when the teams met back in January of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elk Point-Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Milbank, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Elk Point-Jefferson and Milbank could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings. Elk Point-Jefferson will square off against Lennox at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 61 places (77 vs. 16). Elk Point-Jefferson is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Meanwhile, Milbank (ranked 92nd) will meet Hamlin (ranked fifth) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
