Softball Recap: Galax's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Galax can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Narrows Green Waves by a score of 19-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Maroon Tide considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Jayden Leonard was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI.

The win got Galax back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galax will face off against Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Galax's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Narrows will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bland County at 5:00 p.m. on March 31st.
