White Plains has gone 10-0 against Cleburne County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the White Plains Wildcats take on the Cleburne County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, White Plains opened the new year with a less-than-successful 69-61 defeat to Alexandria. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Valley Cubs are ranked 78th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cleburne County). Everything went their way against Ranburne on Friday as Cleburne County made off with a 73-53 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted since November 22, 2024.

White Plains has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Cleburne County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

White Plains didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cleburne County when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 42-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for White Plains since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
