Tri-County had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 62-0 victory over the Elcho/White Lake Wolverines. That's more bragging rights for the Penguins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jake Makaryk went supernova, rushing for 177 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Tri-County and Elcho/White Lake will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Penguins are set to take on their familiar foe Port Edwards at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Elcho/White Lake will challenge rival Wausaukee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
