Recap: Becker Bulldogs vs. Mandan Braves
On Friday, Becker ended up a good deal behind Mandan and lost 67-52. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Becker has scored all season.
Becker lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mitchell Soltau, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Weiss, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Becker and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Mandan, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
Becker won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Croix Prep at 4:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. St. Croix Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Becker is ranked 137th). Mandan won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Osakis on December 30, 2023. Osakis has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three games.
