Softball Game Preview: St. Pauls Bulldogs vs. Hoke County Bucks

The St. Pauls Bulldogs will face off against the Hoke County Bucks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Pauls has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

St. Pauls is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Whiteville, falling 14-4.

The loss snapped Hoke County's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-2 record. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.6 runs. As for St. Pauls, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. Pauls hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Hoke County struggles in that department as they've averaged .385. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
