Soccer Recap: Piqua Starts Season with Win Against Bellefontaine

Piqua took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bellefontaine Chieftains. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Piqua also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Braxton Penrod and Bryce Streib scored all three of Piqua's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Piqua didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-2 win against Xenia on the 19th. As for Bellefontaine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-1 loss against Kenton on the 19th.
