Baseball Recap: Lakeland Vikings vs. Archie Whirlwinds
After flying high against Northeast Vernon County last Monday, Lakeland came back down to earth. The Lakeland Vikings fell 10-7 to the Archie Whirlwinds on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lakeland of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
For Archie's part, Brock Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched.
