Soccer Recap: Golden Valley Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against El Capitan

There's no place like home for Golden Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the El Capitan Gauchos out 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in January.

Anthony Olivera-Alcarez and Carlos Barragan-Pena scored both of Golden Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Golden Valley has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those eight contests. As for El Capitan, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-6.
