Basketball Recap: Garnet Valley Comes Up Short

Garnet Valley lost against Plymouth Whitemarsh back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Garnet Valley Jaguars lost to the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials at home by a 72-58 margin.

Plymouth Whitemarsh was led to victory by Mani Sajid and Michael Pererira. Sajid went 11-for-21 to rack up 29 points along with six assists and three steals, while Pererira dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Hayes, who posted six points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Garnet Valley's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Garnet Valley will welcome Central Bucks East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Bucks East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Garnet Valley likes a good challenge. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, they will take on Lower Merion in a tournament on Tuesday. Lower Merion will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Plymouth Whitemarsh surely won't give up without a fight.
