Chugiak has gone 9-1 against Eagle River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Chugiak Mustangs will be playing at home against the Eagle River Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Eagle River took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Chugiak, who comes in off a win.

Chugiak is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Bettye Davis East Anchorage, posting a 60-21 win. The Mustangs have beaten the Thunderbirds the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Thunderbirds has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Eagle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by Bartlett and fell 63-33. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Chugiak will have to contain Gabby Palazzini as she made an impact in Eagle River's last game. She dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 60.6% of Eagle River's points, marking the sixth time in a row Palazzini has posted more than a third of the team's points. Katelyn Bell also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Chugiak, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Chugiak couldn't quite finish off Eagle River when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 36-34. Can Chugiak avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
