Softball Recap: McGuffey Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Allegheny last Wednesday, McGuffey came back down to earth. The Highlanders fell just short of the South Park Eagles by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The Highlanders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Miley Main made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

McGuffey's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South Park, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. McGuffey is set to face off against their familiar foe Steel Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, South Park will square off against rival Charleroi at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
