Baseball Recap: Colony Knights vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Colony can now relate to. They fell just short of the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears by a score of 8-6 on Friday. Colony was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Juneau-Douglas apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2023.

Brayden Parrent made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Hilty, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Colony and nudges their season record down to 15-12. As for Juneau-Douglas, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-1.

Colony does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Juneau-Douglas, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Chugiak at 10:00 a.m. Juneau-Douglas is facing Chugiak at the right time seeing as Chugiak is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
