Football Recap: Hackensack Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hackensack can now relate to. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Ramapo Raiders on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.

Brian Brancato threw for 39 yards on seven of 19 attempts.

Ramapo got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Casey Grusser out in front who threw for 258 yards and four TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. Joseph Santo Yessis was in the mix as well, providing the Raiders with three touchdowns.

Hackensack now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Ramapo, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hackensack will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Teaneck at 10:30 a.m. on the 27th. As for Ramapo, they will be playing at home against Wayne Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
