Football Game Preview: Wando Warriors vs. Goose Creek Gators

Wando is 2-8 against Goose Creek since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Gators at 7:30 p.m. Goose Creek took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wando, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Wando needed a bit of extra time to put away West Ashley. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 24-21. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Wando got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Harris Stone out in front who rushed for 47 yards and one score, and also threw for 168 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Goose Creek's offense. They were beaten by Summerville 48-0 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Green Wave: they've now lost four in a row.

Goose Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Wando, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
