Volleyball Recap: Liberty Has No Trouble Against Emerald

Liberty not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 1, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Emerald Aerouants 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Liberty was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-14.

Yazmen Calhoun paced Liberty's offense, picking up ten kills. Calhoun got some help from Ashlyn Cruz and her ten assists. Cruz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Emerald, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will face off against Pittsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Emerald, they will square off against Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
