Baseball Recap: Park Vista Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Park Vista finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of the Wellington Wolverines by a score of 2-1. The Cobras' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Aidan Hock was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Park Vista saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Dever, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Park Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Wellington, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Park Vista will square off against Forest Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Forest Hill will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Park Vista surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wellington, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Royal Palm Beach at 6:00 p.m. on April 1.
