Basketball Recap: Seminole County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Seminole County entered their tilt with Stewart County on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Stewart County Royal Knights with points to spare, taking the game 54-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-42 back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seminole County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamauri Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Zach King, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Seminole County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The victory got Seminole County back to even at 8-8. As for Stewart County, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole County will venture away from home to square off against Cairo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season. As for Stewart County, they will head out to take on Terrell County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Terrell County also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 60.4 points per game.
