Soccer Game Preview: Highland Park vs. Reedy

The Highland Park Scots are taking a road trip to square off against the Reedy Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Highland Park's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Newman Smith. The win continues a trend for the Scots in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Reedy entered their tilt with Turner on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past Turner 5-1. Given Reedy's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Turner is ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Reedy's victory bumped their record up to 10-6-2. As for Highland Park, their win bumped their record up to 15-3-2.

Highland Park took their victory against Reedy in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Highland Park since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
