North Stokes and Mount Airy are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Vikings will face off against the Granite Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Stokes will be strutting in after a victory while Mount Airy will be coming in after a defeat.

While North Stokes' win against Alleghany wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings skirted past the Trojans 6-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

North Stokes saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Mabe, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Madelyn Spencer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Mount Airy fell victim to South Stokes and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to the Sauras. The Granite Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Airy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for North Stokes, their win bumped their record up to 4-9-1.

North Stokes took their victory against Mount Airy in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
