Marion County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Tyner Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Rams at 5:15 p.m. Marion County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Marion County blew Middle Tennessee Monarchs out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Middle Tennessee Monarchs got their revenge. The Warriors fell just short of Middle Tennessee Monarchs by a score of 10-8. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marion County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Tipton, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The Warriors are 3-1 when Tipton posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tyner Academy). They came out on top against Howard Tech by a score of 12-8 on Friday.
Ryleigh Chubb made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off seven hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two triples, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those triples were his first of the season.
In other batting news, Tyner Academy let D'Terrius Dupree and Dominique Jones run wild. Dupree scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Jones scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave Jones a new career-high. Jaden Isbell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
Tyner Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Marion County's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Tyner Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
Everything went Marion County's way against Tyner Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Marion County made off with a 16-2 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
