Baseball Game Preview: Randall Raiders vs. Clint Lions

For the second straight game, Randall will face off against Clint. The Raiders will host the Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Randall heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They fell 5-2 to Clint. The Raiders' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

For Clint's part, Joe Aranda made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Aranda has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Aranda wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Ochoa, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The win (which was Clint's sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-11-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Randall, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-11-1.
