Volleyball Recap: Mountain Ridge Takes a Loss

Mountain Ridge and Syracuse squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Mountain Ridge had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Titans. The Sentinels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Lucy Coombs paced Mountain Ridge's offense, picking up three kills. Coombs got some help from Sammy Roberts and her six assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Mountain Ridge and nudges their season record down to 27-5. As for Syracuse, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Mountain Ridge nor Syracuse have any future games scheduled.
