Soccer Game Preview: Clay vs. Fleming Island

The Clay Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Fleming Island Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clay is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Clay's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Ridgeview. Considering the Blue Devils have won three contests by more than seven goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Fleming Island came up short against Ponte Vedra on Tuesday and fell 4-2. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Sharks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Clay has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those seven matches. As for Fleming Island, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
