Basketball Game Preview: Park View Patriots vs. Loudoun County Captains

The Park View Patriots will challenge the Loudoun County Captains at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Park View is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Park View took a blow against Broad Run, falling 91-34. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Spartans are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Loudoun County came up short against Woodgrove on Tuesday and fell 52-40. The game marked the Captains' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Loudoun County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Park View, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Park View came out on top in a nail-biter against Loudoun County when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 65-62. Does Park View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Loudoun County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
