Basketball Recap: Bellflower Snags 12th Victory in Last 13 Games

Bellflower won the last time they faced Norwalk and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bellflower Buccaneers came out on top against the Norwalk Lancers by a score of 37-24. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Lancers are ranked 630th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Norwalk still got an impressive performance from Andruw Castellanos, who posted 15 points and five rebounds.

Bellflower is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Norwalk, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10.

Bellflower has already played their next matchup (against Firebaugh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Norwalk is taking a road trip to challenge Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
