Basketball Game Preview: Britton-Hecla Braves vs. Northwestern Area Wildcats

Britton-Hecla hasn't had much luck against Northwestern Area recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Britton-Hecla Braves will head out on the road to square off against the Northwestern Area Wildcats at 8:00 p.m.

Britton-Hecla is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since February 16, 2024 on Thursday. They were beaten by Roncalli 76-35. The contest marked the Braves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Northwestern Area duked it out withLangford on Friday. Northwestern Area had just enough and edged Langford out 69-67. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Northwestern Area's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Britton-Hecla, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Britton-Hecla couldn't quite finish off Northwestern Area when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 62-59. Can Britton-Hecla avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
