Soccer Game Preview: Sherman vs. Lovejoy

Sherman is 0-10 against Lovejoy since March of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Bearcats will look to defend their home pitch against the Leopards at 7:15 p.m.

Sherman is headed into Thursday's match following a draw, the team's first since January 16. Neither they nor Denison could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lovejoy). They never let Greenville get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Friday. Give Lovejoy's defense some credit: that's the team's ninth straight shutout.

Sherman's draw gives them a new season record of 5-11-2. As for Lovejoy, their win bumped their record up to 22-0.
