Volleyball Game Preview: Life Prep Fire vs. Independent Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Life Prep Fire and the Independent Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Life Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Independent will be coming in after a defeat.

Life Prep will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Ark City Christian Academy, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Fire came out on top against Ark City Christian Academy by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fire.

The final score came out to 26-24, 24-26, 25-16, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Independent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Caldwell.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18.

Independent's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22-2. As for Life Prep, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Life Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Independent in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Fire repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
