On Tuesday, Buckhorn was fully in charge, breezing past Lee 73-40. Given the Bucks' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Generals are ranked 192nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mae Jemison, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They took down Hazel Green 58-43 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Buckhorn's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Mae Jemison, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Buckhorn was able to grind out a solid victory over Mae Jemison when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 60-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Buckhorn since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
