Basketball Game Preview: Unioto Shermans vs. Southeastern Panthers

Unioto has gone 9-1 against Southeastern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Unioto Shermans are taking a road trip to challenge the Southeastern Panthers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Unioto's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.

Last Wednesday, Unioto blew past Zane Trace, posting a 76-15 win. The Shermans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 28 points or more this season.

Milee Smith and Mya Hamilton were among the main playmakers for Unioto as the former went 11 for 13 on her way to 24 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists and the latter went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points and three steals. The contest was Smith's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keyairah Beard, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points.

Meanwhile, Southeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Westfall at home by a 44-30 margin.

Unioto has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Southeastern, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Unioto against Southeastern in their previous meeting back in February, as the squad secured a 59-21 victory. Will Unioto repeat their success, or does Southeastern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
