Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Rockford-Sheyenne). They strolled past the St. John Woodchucks with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 87-69. The Rockets pushed the score to 66-43 by the end of the third, a deficit the Woodchucks cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, St. John had strong showings from Ashton Parisien, who went 8 for 19 en route to 29 points and eight assists, and Madden Parisien, who went 7 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points. Madden's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Simon LaRocque, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

New Rockford-Sheyenne's record now sits at 8-2. As for St. John, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Rockford-Sheyenne has already played their next contest (against Washburn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. John will be playing at home against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. John has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
