Softball Recap: McQueen Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McQueen can now relate to. They lost 9-3 to the Bishop Manogue Miners on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lancers have suffered since April 12th.

McQueen saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vanessa Bein, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

With the loss, McQueen broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-14. As for Bishop Manogue, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McQueen is set to face off against their familiar foe Carson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bishop Manogue will take on rival Reed at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Miners 2.5, the Raiders 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
