The Woodlan Warriors will challenge the DeKalb Barons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Woodlan took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Southern Wells as they made off with a 3-0 victory.
One reason for the win was Woodlan's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-18.

Woodlan relied on the efforts of McKenna Smith, who had ten digs and one assist, and Madison Halsey, who had six digs. Smith has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.
Woodlan was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, DeKalb can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Anderson 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Barons have posted since September 9th.
DeKalb had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-11, 15-10.
DeKalb's victory bumped their record up to 7-19. As for Woodlan, their win bumped their record up to 20-6.
Woodlan took their victory against DeKalb in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Barons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
