Football Game Preview: Ramsay Rams vs. Jacksonville Golden Eagles + Official Tickets

The Ramsay Rams will face off against the Jacksonville Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ramsay will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

If Jacksonville heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Ramsay took over last week. The Rams put the hurt on Wenonah with a sharp 27-7 victory two weeks ago. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Jayden Martin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 128 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries, while also catching one score. Ramsay is 5-1 when Martin posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Martin was just one part of a punishing run game: Ramsay was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. The Rams are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville ended up a good deal behind Anniston on Thursday and lost 18-3. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, Jacksonville's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Ramsay's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Jacksonville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Ramsay has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 208.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Jacksonville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 217.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
