Carver is 7-0 against Bethany since September of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Carver Yellowjackets will face off against the Bethany Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Carver is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Winston-Salem Christian just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 8-1. The Yellowjackets were red-hot offensively headed into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the seven contests prior) but the Lions' defense proved too tough.

Meanwhile, Bethany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Bishop McGuinness. While losing is never fun, Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Villains are ranked 135th).
Carver's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2-1. As for Bethany, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Carver took their win against Bethany in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carver since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
