The Yellowjackets were red-hot offensively headed into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the seven contests prior) but the Lions' defense proved too tough.

Carver's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2-1. As for Bethany, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
