Baseball Recap: Livermore Beats San Ramon Valley for Their Third Straight Victory

Livermore hadn't done well against San Ramon Valley recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Livermore walked away with a 5-2 victory over San Ramon Valley. This was payback for the Cowboys, who suffered an 8-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ryan Kohn looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Livermore's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Demiris, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Another was Jaden Vassallo, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The victory was the third in a row for Livermore, bringing their record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for San Ramon Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

As for San Ramon Valley, they will challenge Amador Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Amador Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so San Ramon Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
