Baseball Recap: La Cueva Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Cueva). They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Albuquerque Academy Chargers on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

La Cueva pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Albuquerque Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

The future could be bright for both La Cueva and Albuquerque Academy: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently.
