Football Recap: Seffner Christian Comes Up Short

Seffner Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bell Creek Academy Panthers. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Seffner Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bell Creek Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Seffner Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Tampa Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on March 28th. As for Bell Creek Academy, they will host Sunlake at 4:30 p.m. on March 24th. Bell Creek Academy is on a three-game streak of home wins, Sunlake a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
