Football Game Preview: Lamar County Trojans vs. Jasper County Hurricanes + How To Watch

Lamar County has gone a perfect 4-0 against Jasper County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will challenge the Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated after nine games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

On Friday, Lamar County didn't have too much trouble with Social Circle as they won 22-6.

Lamar County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Starks and Armoni Reid. Reid also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. Starks got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Jasper County hadn't done well against Putnam County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Hurricanes enjoyed a cozy 28-10 win over the War Eagles. The game was the first time the Hurricanes have beaten the War Eagles on their field since November 6, 2017.

Lamar County's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Jasper County, their win bumped their record up to an identical 9-0.

Lamar County took their victory against Jasper County when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 28-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
