Baseball Recap: Stevenson Comes Up Short

Stevenson came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs, falling 8-1. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Stevenson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Monte Vista Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Stevenson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Pacific Grove on the 30th. As for Monte Vista Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Milpitas on the 26th.
