Volleyball Recap: Hesperia's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Hesperia entered their tilt with Barstow on Tuesday with four consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Aztecs. The matchup marked the Scorpions' most dominant victory of the season so far.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hesperia was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-14.

Victoria Parra paced Hesperia's offense, picking up 14 kills. Parra got some help from Dylanna Akwaboah and her 36 assists. Akwaboah was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Hesperia's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Hesperia will take on Granite Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Barstow, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Sultana at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
