Basketball Game Preview: Manor Mustangs vs. McNeil Mavericks

Manor is on a four-game streak of home losses, McNeil an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Manor Mustangs will welcome the McNeil Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Manor is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Vista Ridge on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Manor had to suffer through a 61-31 loss at the hands of Vista Ridge. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1010th, while the Rangers are ranked 309th).

Meanwhile, McNeil lost to Cedar Ridge at home by a 53-39 margin on Friday.

McNeil's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Manor, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Manor skirted past McNeil 64-62 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Manor have another victory up their sleeve, or will McNeil turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
