Baseball Recap: Elida Comes Up Short

Elida lost against Van Wert back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs fell 5-1 to the Cougars. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elida saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Graham, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Elida's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Van Wert, the win was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Elida will take on Pandora-Gilboa in a tournament on Saturday. The Bulldogs are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Van Wert, they will take on Bath at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
