Softball Recap: Eunice Comes Up Short

Eunice had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it four. They lost 16-1 to the Teurlings Catholic Rebels. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bobcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Teurlings Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games.

For Teurlings Catholic's part, Kylie Boutte was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Leblanc, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eunice will face off against Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Teurlings Catholic, they will challenge Westminster Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
