Basketball Game Preview: Waterford Ravens vs. American Heritage Patriots

Waterford is 0-4 against American Heritage since January of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Waterford Ravens are taking a road trip to challenge the American Heritage Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Waterford will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Waterford beat Rowland Hall 37-25.

Among those leading the charge was Anne Howard, who posted 20 points. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for American Heritage, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 52-28 margin over American Leadership Academy on Tuesday. The Patriots pushed the score to 50-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Waterford has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for American Heritage, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Waterford came up short against American Heritage when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 33-26. Can Waterford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
