Softball Recap: Granger Takes a Loss

Granger's last matchup with Alta could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. Granger lost 12-2 to Alta. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Lancers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Granger saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pianola Tuaone, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Tuaone is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Granger's record is now 3-9. As for Alta, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, Granger will venture away from home to face off against Corner Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Granger is facing Corner Canyon at the right time seeing as Corner Canyon is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Alta, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Brighton at 3:30 p.m. Brighton has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.91 runs per game on average), something Alta will no doubt try to take advantage of.
